OKC- On January 5, 2017, the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency received 27 applications requesting tax credits in the amount of $12,360,312 in Federal plus $6,902,466 in State Housing Tax Credits for a total of 1,414 units for households at 60% or below Area Median Income.
The 2017 federal allocation has not been allocated yet. Assuming the allocation will be similar to 2016, Oklahoma expects about $9,191,644 in federal credits for the year. Of this, approximately $4,595,822 is available this round. State Housing tax credits available for this round is $2,500,000.
Of the 27 applications, 20 were for new construction and 7 for acquisition/ rehabilitation with 8 sponsored by nonprofits.
Six communities had multiple development applications;Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Enid, Ardmore, Elk City and Shawnee.
