OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The Oklahoma Coalition for Affordable Housing will host its Annual Meeting at the Will Rogers Theater in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, May 18 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This year’s meeting will feature a housing forum highlighting the results of the recently released Statewide Housing Needs Assessment for Central Oklahoma. This statewide study, conducted in 2015, analyzes by county the affordable housing needs for moderate to low-income households, and addresses community issues such as fair housing, lead based paint and disaster resiliency.
The Central Oklahoma forum is one of a series to be held across the state, in partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, and will provide an overview of the study’s results for Central Oklahoma counties including: Canadian, Cleveland, Grady, Lincoln, Logan, McClain, Oklahoma, and Pottawatomie.
Results of the study provides municipalities, housing developers, nonprofit agencies, community planners, economic developers, homelessness advocates, elected officials, and many others with projected affordable housing demand for moderate to extremely low-income households, disaster preparation considerations, and fair housing key findings and recommendations.
Immediately following the Central Oklahoma housing forum, the Oklahoma Coalition for Affordable Housing will celebrate their first anniversary and hold their Annual Meeting.
This event will offer two hours of continuing education credits for social workers, real estate licensees and attorneys for each session. Registration and more information about the housing forum series is available at www.ocahforums.com.
