Practice and Policy Lecture Series to feature David Cutler, PhD, Economist, Health Care Advisor to President Obama, Former Member of the Council of Economic Advisors, and Otto Eckstein Professor of Applied Economics at Harvard University. Cutler will discuss health reform on April 8 from noon to 1:00 pm. David Cutler has developed an impressive record of achievement in both academia and the public sector. Cutler’s work in health economics and public economics has earned him significant academic and public acclaim. Cutler served on the Council of Economic Advisers and the National Economic Council during the Clinton Administration and was senior health care advisor to Barack Obama’s Presidential campaign. Cutler also advised the Presidential campaign of Bill Bradley. Among other affiliations, Cutler has held positions with the National Institutes of Health and the National Academy of Sciences. Currently, Cutler is a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a member of the Institute of Medicine . He is also the author of Your Money or Your Life: Strong Medicine for America’s Health Care System, published by Oxford University Press.

This lecture will be for one hour starting at noon at the OU College of Public Health in Oklahoma City, 801 NE 13th, Oklahoma City , OK 73190 . Parking is extremely limited in the area.

Dr. Cutler’s simulcast presentation will also be available in Tulsa at the Schusterman Center in room 3108. The address for the Center is 2502 E. 41st Street, Tulsa .
