The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development launched a major financial literacy campaign to help families prevent foreclosure. The “Keep Your Home. Know Your Loan.” campaign includes print, radio and television public service announcements, as well as a tool kit for non-profit counseling agencies that will support the effort.
The toll free number, 877-HUD-1515, connects callers to HUD’s voice response system where the caller can select the type of counseling service they want and enter their zip code and will provide the caller with the choice of three counseling agencies in that zip code.
