On July 18, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. to Noon, the Oklahoma Department of Commerce (ODOC) will host a virtual listening session on Oklahoma Green Energy/Renewable/Sustainable (Green Energy) career opportunities in the Green Energy workforce currently and over the next five to 10 years. The purpose of this listening session is to:

  • Gather baseline data to establish recruitment and retention needs
  • Understand Green Energy industry projected job growth in Oklahoma and the demand for these careers over the next 5-10 years
  • Identify Oklahoma businesses interested in partnering with ODOC to form paid Green Energy or related industry apprenticeships
  • Identify the appropriate position terminology, job titles and job tasks found in Oklahoma

  • Vocational and Four-Year College Educational Representatives
  • Industry Recruiters
  • Other Individuals Working in Support of Green Energy Sector Employment
