Recently, I rec’d an inquiry regarding Senior Farmer’s Markets Program. I thought some of the members might be interested in what I learned.
1) Community Action Agency of Oklahoma and Canadian Counties: We are doing Farmers Market Vouchers here in Oklahoma and Canadian Counties. Our partnerships are with the El Reno Main Street Market and Oklahoma Women in Agriculture. The vouchers will be available in mid to late May. Ann Ricketts, Director

OKDHS ASD has received funds to implement a second round of the Senior Farmers’ Markets Nutrition Program (SFMNP) this season to serve a total of 2,700 seniors @ $25 per low-income elder participant. However, the SFMNP will only be implemented in the service areas covered by Tulsa AAA ( Tulsa area), EODD AAA (Tahlequah area), Areawide AAA (OKC area), SODA AAA ( Ardmore area) and SWODA AAA (Sayre area).
