The Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency is presenting an overview of their 2019 HOME and National Housing Trust Fund applications on March 19 in the Will Rogers Conference Room, 100 NW 63rd St #200, Oklahoma City, OK 73116.
HOME and NHTF resources are grants and forgivable loans that nonprofits, local governments, and developers use to provide affordable rental housing to low and extremely low-income households. Rents and income are restricted.
HOME: Funds may be used to provide development costs for the new construction or acquisition and rehabilitation of affordable housing; to provide assistance for a home purchase; or to assist HUD-designated renters. Developments must meet multiple requirements. OHFA is the HUD-designated State HOME Participating Jurisdiction. The cities of Oklahoma City, Lawton, Norman and the Tulsa Consortium also administer HOME funds. Click here for an application.
NHTF: Funds may be used for the production or preservation of affordable housing through the acquisition, new construction, reconstruction, and/or rehabilitation of non-luxury housing with suitable amenities. All HTF-assisted units will be required to have a minimum affordability period of 30 years. Click here for the 2019 National Housing Trust Fund Application – Final.
