EILEEN FISHER announced the launch of a new Supporting Women in Environmental Justice grant program, which recognizes that women and girls globally are the most vulnerable to climate change and hold the firsthand experience to solve it.
They are interested in funding organizations working in the following areas:
1. Increasing women’s participation in decision-making.
2. Training women and girls in climate change adaptation, mitigation and/or advocacy.
3. Engaging women in the sustainable economy.
You’ll find descriptions of these themes, full program guidelines, and the link to apply at www.eileenfisher.com/environmental-justice-grant. Applications must be received through the online form by June 14, at Eastern to be considered.
"After 30+ years of supporting women and girls and the environment separately, we believe we can accelerate progress by addressing these areas together and bringing critical funding and awareness to this intersection. In our inaugural year, the Supporting Women in Environmental Justice Grant will award $200,000 total (up to $30,000 per grant) to nonprofits that support women in taking action for environmental justice."
