Wow, where did the month go? January flew by. We had a busy month and wanted to share a few of our moments.
Development
AL Leadership Team Retreat 2010
O Facilitate nonprofit Leadership Retreat in AL. Participants required to read “Leading at a Higher Level” by Ken Blanchard before retreat. Retreat discussion and group situations related back to the books content.
O Facilitate roundtable discussion for City of Tulsa and HOME grantees. Went so well, participants scheduled another one in April.
O Federal Environmental Clearance approved on a local housing project. Woo Hoo! 1 down and 4 more to go.
Planning
O Distribute community survey for local nonprofit strategic plan process. Introduced client to online survey tool. We’re in week 1 of the survey.
Proposal Formulation & Evaluation
O Attend housing tax credit application workshop.
O Attend meeting awarding funds to client for rental development project. Financing includes HOME and Rural Development. Tenants pay 30% of income for rent.
O Prepare grant applications for affordable housing-single family and elderly developments.
Community Engagement
O Convene meeting for Work & Family Subcommittee.
O Assist with event marketing and outreach for the 2010 Women Entrepreneurs INSPIRE, March 30 at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City and 2010 Women Leadership Conference for Women in Public Service, March 12 at the Reed Center in Midwest city.
Training
O Prepare Community Development Block Grant training session.
