If you work in housing, you will want to participate!

Public Meeting on Tuesday, September 14, 2010— Discussion of the Residential Code Technical Reviews and the adoption of a state residential construction code at the Oklahoma State Capitol, House of Representatives chambers starting at 1:00 PM and will end NO LATER THAN 4:00 pm. This public meeting is to allow the public an opportunity to speak about code issues important to them and to understand how the review of the building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and gas piping chapters of the 2009 International Residential Code will move forward.

OUBCC will consider the recommendations and adopt a residential code which will apply to the entire State of Oklahoma. Click here for notice. 

In May, 2009, the State of Oklahoma Legislature created the OUBCC with the subsequent approval by the Governor. The major task that was directed for the OUBCC was to develop construction codes for use as the minimum standard of construction for the building industry throughout our state.
